Dubai Atlantis Hotel Lobby
Two Atlantis Hotel resorts, one in the Bahamas and one in Dubai, UAE, are owned and operated by the Kerzner International Corp. Both were monumental achievements in the industry of hotel resorts, offering unprecedented luxury along with adventure. Both hotels required massive efforts to construct, including the creation of a man-made island in Dubai.
The Atlantis Palm is the second of Kerzner’s Atlantis resorts, located in Dubai. The hotel resort sits atop the man-made island known as Palm Jumeirah. The $1.5 billion hotel resort opened in September 2008 with 1,539 rooms. The construction of the resort ran relatively quickly, having begun in 2006. The only minor setback occurred in early September 2007, when a fire ravaged the new lobby due to a construction accident.
The resort has two accommodation wings, also referred to as the Royal Towers, consisting of the East and the West Tower, both linked together by the Royal Bridge Suite. The resort’s comprises 1,500 guestrooms and suites with private balconies and views over The Palm and the Persian Gulf. The Imperial Club has over 150 rooms and suites and a private club lounge and views of the Arabian Sea or The Palm and Dubai skyline.
The Royal Bridge Suite, spanning the Royal Towers, is 22 stories up with views of The Palm, Dubai and the Persian Gulf. The two Underwater Suites are each three stories high with the illusion of view directly into the Ambassador Lagoon.
