Princess Anne with Late Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Anne, Princess (Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise; born 15 August 1950), is the only daughter and second child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. At the time of her birth, she was third (behind her mother and elder brother) and rose to second (after her mother’s accession) in the line of succession to the thrones of the 16 Commonwealth realms; however, after the birth of two younger brothers, six nieces and nephews, and one great-nephew, she is currently eleventh in line.
In 1987, the year in which Queen Elizabeth granted her only daughter the elevated title for her charity work, she paid an official visit to Dubai, where she was greeted by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and pupils at Dubai English Speaking School.
The princess also opened the emirate’s first international showjumping event. Her First Husband Captain Mark Phillip (Divorced) also seen in the picture. The couple divorced on 23 April 1992.
